The Faculty of Applied Science, MRIU prides itself on creating an environment of substantial academic freedom overlaid by rigorous, self-imposed standards of excellence and socially responsive Practices. The Faculty plays a hands-on role in the governance of the teaching methodology and assumes total ownership of collective decisions, while keeping itself abreast of current developments in the related fields of Physiotherapy, Nutrition & Dietetics.
The Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Applied Science at Manav Rachna International University has set a benchmark in the academics and clinical practice of Physiotherapy and research for the past eight years. The Faculty of Applied Science has been successfully running Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in Physiotherapy keeping in view the recent advances in the Physiotherapy curriculum and research.
The faculty conducts basic and applied research. Currently, many diverse research projects are undergoing in specialized areas for the development of professionals and disciplines. The faculty of applied science boasts practical based curriculum, backed by state-of-the-art labs, sound infrastructure, as well as innovative sincere and interesting learning procedures.
Our students get ample international exposure in the form of workshops, seminars, and sponsored trips to various academic institutions in different parts of the world which has helped our students to get placed in the top institutions/organizations. Many of our students are excelling outside India in various specialized departments. The dept. is often involved in organizing and attending International / National CME’s, Seminars, Workshops, health camps etc and has nurtured active tie-ups with renowned hospitals like VIMHANS hospital, Batra Hospital and Medical Research Center, IBS hospital, ASIAN hospital, Sarvodaya Hospital, Metro Hospital, several old age homes and handicap schools.

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, at Faculty of Applied Science, MRIU addresses various issues through teaching, strong  research and outreach in Clinical Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Health Promotion, Food Safety and Quality.  Department offers a plethora of Academic and Co-curricular activities at various platforms be it a school, community or corporate like NTPC, ONGC, IBM that shapes the students’ career and make them distinct from others in their chosen field of specialization.

“FAS Department pays special attention to Industry- University Collaboration to leverage student’s placements, Joint R&D Projects with various National and International Organizations. Being member of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) and Nutrition Society of India (NSI), all faculty members and students play very active role in their academic and industrial programs”, says, Prof. G.L Khanna, Dean, FAS, MRIU.

FAS has tie ups with reputed International Universities/Institutions so that the students can have global understanding of the concerned area and also have International exposure and placement. The Department offers a three years bachelor and two years masters of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with specialization in Clinical Nutrition, Food Science and Technology and Sports Nutrition and as well as PhD degree to the students not only from India but also from overseas countries like Maldives, Iran , Dubai and Saudi Arabia etc.
