Across its 20-year journey with many a milestone to its credit, Manav Rachna has taken on the challenge of yielding applicable knowledge and dedicating itself towards several path breaking Research and Development initiatives.

By introducing ‘Research Integrated Programmes’, the Institution launched a first-of-its-kind Business Incubator at Manav Rachna Research, Innovation & Incubation Centre (MRIIC) —a whole new concept aimed to take the Institution to the next level and catapult it to the top leagues of innovation-driven institutions in the country.  Students at Manav Rachna could also engage in patent filings and start-ups with constant mentoring from the science, engineering and management communicators.
To further its commitment towards promoting research and innovation at all levels, Manav Rachna has eight Research & Innovation Clusters (RICs), eight Centres of Excellence (CEs--in collaboration with reputed industries most notably Smart Energy Centre under Su-KAM, SAP Centre, Mitsubishi Centre, Sky Testers Centre, Automotive Training & Research Centre under Honda Motors, Water Conservation and Management Centre, Sports Science & Rehabilitation Centre and Reliance Jio Centre) for enhancing the training and research skills of  students. The Institution also enjoys a rich legacy of 252 filed patents and 3300+ published research papers in national and international journals and has tied up with 40 plus Foreign Universities apart from IOCL, Faridabad; THSTI, Faridabad; Indian CSIR-IIP, Dehradun and NII, New Delhi for research and innovation.

Presently, the eight Research and Innovation Clusters at Manav Rachna namely Mechanical, Automobile & Aerospace, Electronics & Electrical, Computing, Molecular Biosciences, Health Sciences & Nutrition, Civil & Architecture Design, Material Science and Atmospheric & Environmental Sciences are actively engaged in cluster research projects in addition to other activities which include Competitions and Projects, Publishing, Sponsored R&D projects, Training in Advanced Areas or future technologies, Industry Linkages, Collaboration & Consultancy and Patents & IPR.
The all pervasive R&D culture at MRIIC is best exemplified through students’ projects such as Shwaas, Dental Posture Correction System, Smart Extension Board, Universal Remote (Android App Based), IOT Based Home Automation System, Smart Dust Bin, Real Time Weather Monitoring System, Electric Wheel Chair, Smart Skull, Gaming Gun, Electroseat  and Black Box for Vehicles to name a few.

With Innovation being a way of life at Manav Rachna, students incubate products that are as unique as they are tech-driven, with benefits impacting the world at large.
